Roof Leak Repair at Residential Building
Location:
Glasgow - Partick
Client:
Partick Housing Association
Description:
The roof of a large residential building in Glasgow’s West End developed a significant leak, causing water damage to the interior of several apartments. The tenants reported dampness and ceiling stains. Our team was called in to assess the situation and perform immediate repairs. The building’s age and the complexity of the roof design added an extra layer of challenge.
Challenges:
The roof was high and sloped, requiring careful navigation around dormer windows and chimneys. The leak was in a difficult-to-reach spot, and weather conditions made the repair window tight.
Solution:
Our team used a mobile elevating work platform (MEWP) to safely access the roof. After identifying the source of the leak around an aging flashing, we replaced the damaged section with a more durable, weather-resistant material. All areas were sealed, and a high-quality roofing membrane was applied to ensure long-lasting protection.
Equipment Used:
Roof ladders, Harness and fall arrest system, High-pressure cleaning equipment, Flashing materials, Roofing membrane
Approximate Value:
£270
